Scottish producer, Hudson Mohawke teams up with Canadian beatsmith Lunice to create an album called "TNGHT". When you bring HudMo's intergalactic instrumentals and you mix that with Lunice's electronic infused grimy hip hop beats, you get out-of-this-world bangers that will give you chills. While the album is set to drop in late July there are still a couple of songs that have been released to the public to stream. Check out the track "Bugg'n".

Chicago MC, Lupe Fiasco recently announced the sequel to what is arguably his best album. Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, is set to drop on September 25th. Two days ago, Lupe released his first single from the upcoming album called "Around My Way" which features the Pete Rock and C. L. Smooth instrumental for T.R.O.Y.. Due to the iconic status of this hip hop track there has been a lot of buzz floating around in regards to whether or not the beat should be touched or sampled. Lupe's rebuttal is ,"All the credit goes to my partner and manager Chill, he just felt like it was time to bring back a joint, go back and take one of the iconic records of Hip Hop and put a new spin on it and put it back out there." With this being said I am just glad that it is being redone by one of the best lyricists in hip hop. Better him before it is belittled by some clown dubstep DJ or or pop group.

These two brothers from the UK released their debut single on Moshi Moshi records in late September of 2010. Two years later they have a lot of buzz going around the web and a free EP out available via their Facebook page. I have selected a handful of my favorite tracks by Disclosure below.

May is going to be a great month. Michael Kiwanuka just released his debut album, "Home Again", on the first and it is just as amazing as I was hoping for. His nostalgic soul is the perfect remedy for my end-of-the-semester-finals stress. "Tell Me A Tale" below is a plea for help from God to show him the path to success. "Tell me a story that I can read, Tell me a story that I can believe. Turn me around so I can be, Everything I was meant to be. Lord I need Lovin'. Lord I need Lovin'".
The next track features Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys and is called "Lasan".
You can purchase the whole album for only $6.99 here on iTunes.

Maryland lyricist, Logic, literally does absolutely nothing but work on his music and study his game. I have witnessed the creation of a rap monster aspire into greatness by his talent and sickening work ethic. I must say, as I awoke and powered up my Macbook, I did my routine music release check and was most pleasantly surprised to see Logic's mixtape. After going through the tracks that I haven't already heard, I have come to the conclusion that it is my favorite hip hop mixtape since Drake's "So Far Gone". The release of this new mixtape has been crashing music sites and blogs all over due to the heavy traffic. Check out "Young Sinatra: Undeniable" below.
